A lot of brides plan some of their wedding details to make it personal, such as choosing songs that are special to the couple instead of playing the traditional songs, or wearing the veil that the brides Mother or Grandmother wore.
Another way to make your wedding personal is by choosing your wedding flowers and other flowers that you incorporate into your wedding based on what each flower means. Not everyone will know what the symbolism for the flowers mean but it might be a cool idea to put the information on the program.
Amaryllis
Anemone
Baby's Breath
Calla Lily
Carnation
Chrysanthemum
Gardenia
Daisy
Dahlia
Freesia
Iris
I will be doing a second part to this as there are so many flowers!!
Have a great day!

This is so interesting. I never knew the meaning behind these flowers. Thought the bride just picked the flowers that she liked or the ones that matched her wedding colors.

Never, ever did I consider the meanings behind so many of the flowers you’ve mentioned! When I got married, I just picked something random and pretty. I’m divorced now, but if I ever get married, I’m totally going to pay more attention to the details. Pinning this for future use! Great post!

I'd have to tuck each color of the Amaryllis somewhere as they each have such great meanings. Baby's Breath and Chrysanthemum I enjoy looking at, well, I like looking at all flowers.

These flowers are so beautiful and well, as much as I knew that flowers always made everything beautiful, I never imagined that they held as much meaning. This is definitely a bride''s guide to getting flowers!

Wow! I did not know a lot of these nor the meanings to all of them! Such a great resource, not just for a wedding but for other important celebrations as well! On that note, every time I knew I was pregnant, baby breath would start growing out of no where, might be a coincidence but I'd like to think it was something special! <3

I love all kinds of flowers BUT, the daisy's are kind of my favorite ones here. The "2 flowers blended in perfect harmony" kind of got me!

How interesting! I never thought to consider the meaning behind the flowers I carried but I had gardenias which it seems was a wise choice after all.

Carnations are lovely little things. I used them in my wedding bouquet, along with sweetheart roses and baby's breath. :)

Oh wow never knew any of this. I wonder if I would have picked different? I went with a combination of my grandmothers and my favorite flowers. Orchids and lillys. I love how lillys symbolizes overcoming challenges.
